Health
Our goal is to achieve zero work-related illnesses and injuries and improved health
and well-being for all employees. We strive to identify and quantify health risks
in the following categories:

processes, operations, or products.
- Work-related injuries that may be associated with non work related activities.
- Acute and chronic disease that may be associated with, or impacted by, workplace
factors.
Safety
Employees at all levels help defend against flaws that develop in the safety system
by recognizing risks and error traps and responding to them to solve problems close
in time, place, and occurrence. This enables our safety program to drive improvements
in equipment, processes, work methods, and individual and group performance.
This system must first and foremost protect the individual, providing a safe and
healthy environment that allows employees to meet customer needs and does not hamper
the business potential of the ChemGroup.

- Assessing the risks associated with our products, services, and operations.
- Developing and implementing operational controls with built-in layers of protection.
- Monitoring and maintaining the risk assessment, controls, and implementation to
ensure they are current and effective.
- Reacting to correct gaps in our protective systems and continuously improve system
stability.
Emergency preparedness and response planning and preparedness ensure we establish
and maintain procedures to identify the potential for and the responses to emergency
situations and to plan for the prevention and mitigation of EHS effects and occupational
illnesses and injuries that may be associated with identified emergency situations.
Each business unit has developed and maintains written emergency response plans
and training programs consistent with our mandatory procedure for emergency response
plans. This procedure requires business units and locations to commit the necessary
resources鈥攕uch as manpower, equipment, materials, and outside contractors鈥攏ecessary
to prevent, control, and respond to emergency situations.
